This is Me

Let me tell you

I’m creative by nature and an explorer at heart. Give me a new place, an interesting conversation, something beautiful in nature, a creative idea or something I don’t understand yet and you’ve probably got my attention. I love travelling, meeting people, experiencing different cultures and seeing the world through perspectives other than my own. And while other people often think I’m brave, the people closest to me know I can take my sweet-ass time before actually doing the thing I’ve decided I want to do.

I experience life openly and deeply. As an empath and Mental Projector, I feel a lot, notice a lot and tend to look underneath what is immediately visible. That can take me into some wonderfully weird places, both within myself and far beyond what I once thought was possible.

I can happily spend hours in deep conversation about life, love, energy, human behavior and everything we don’t quite have words for yet, and five minutes later be in tears laughing my ass off at something completely ridiculous. I’m thoughtful and serious, curious and mischievous.

I’ve learned to appreciate my ever-expanding range rather than trying to make myself smaller or easier to define. I don’t particularly fit into neat little boxes. And you know what? I love that about me. My range is part of what sets me apart and makes me who I am. Why would I want to change that?

How I see the world

Curiosity is at the heart of how I experience the world. Childlike wonder that says “Oh, what’s that? I want to touch it. See it. Taste it.” It opens my mind, body and soul, allowing me to receive beyond what I already think I know, believe or expect. A different perspective. A new possibility. A deeper understanding of myself.

Life can be experienced in infinitely different ways. What is true for me might not be true for you, and I find beauty in that difference. Looking through someone else’s eyes can show me something I couldn’t see from where I was standing. It can deepen what I already know, challenge it or open an entirely different view. Seemingly contradictory truths and worldviews can coexist. Curiosity allows me to explore that range while staying connected to what is true for me.

I know that I always have a choice in how I live my life. I may not always see the choices available to me, and I definitely don’t always like the ones I do see. But remembering that I can choose brings me back to myself. Where I’ve been or where I am now does not have to determine where I go next.

Freedom to me is living life on my terms, fully as myself. It is knowing that I am capable of meeting myself with compassion, grace and acceptance at any moment in time. That I can keep exploring, learning and discovering what is true for me. No matter what has happened in the past or what choices I have made, in the present I can choose differently, find my way back and come home within myself, over and over again.

My Journey

Between the ages of 14 and 33, I experienced five burnouts. You could say I needed life to knock on the door repeatedly, each time louder than the last, before I was willing to look in the mirror, truly see and listen, and start choosing myself differently.

In 2022, amidst my 5th burnout and after leaving my corporate job and ending an 8.5-year relationship, I traveled through Canada by myself for two months. It was my first solo trip and became one of the most freeing experiences of my life. One where I chose myself over and over again and came home to myself for the first time, ever.

From there, I kept on choosing myself, choice after choice, even when some of them did not make sense. I started following my curiosity more, questioning what I had always believed about myself and giving myself space to explore what was opening up. And with opening up came my baptism, by 9 excitedly roaring dragon guides, into the world of spirituality. My intuitive and energetic abilities became a much bigger and more central part of my life.

As I changed, so did the business I had started a few years earlier. What began in 2020 with crystal jewelry and textile painting slowly grew beyond the boundaries of what I originally thought I was creating. My journey kept taking me on side quests where new ideas, abilities and ways of working emerged. Instead of fighting them or trying to make them fit the old version of my business, I allowed the business to evolve with me.

WHAT I DO TODAY

My work today is difficult to fit into one neat box, and I’ve stopped trying to make it fit into one. I guide, teach, hold space, create, channel, question, listen and explore. Sometimes that happens in deep 1:1 conversations, other times in a workshop, through Healing Voice, an oracle deck or alongside the dragon energies that have become such an integral part of my life and work. I work in both English and Dutch, moving easily between the two depending on the person or space I’m facilitating.

What connects it all is my curiosity about what is there to discover. I love looking underneath the obvious, asking another question, exploring a different perspective, making the weird feel wonderful and creating spaces where something new can be experienced. I don’t need you to see the world the way I do. I’m so much more interested in what happens when you have the space to discover how you view the world and what is true for you.

When you step into one of those sacred spaces of discovery with me, I take that seriously. My work can be playful, creative and full of wonder, down to earth and highly spiritual. It can also go deep. Safety, care, integrity and non-judgment are incredibly important to me. I want you to feel safe enough to explore whatever comes up, knowing there is room for honesty, emotion, laughter, questions, uncertainty and everything wonderfully human in between.
