Dragon Cards
Let me introduce my Kiddos
They’re curious, playful, mischievous, loving and occasionally very opinionated little beings. Each one has their own unique character, energy and way of showing up. Some literally come bouncing in with infectious joy, ready to challenge you or turn everything upside down just to see what happens. Others are quieter, sometimes even shy, and need more time to find their rhythm. Whatever their character, they all share a desire to help people connect with and awaken to dragon energy.
Over the years, quite a few of these little bundles of joy have come into this world through me. I energetically give birth to Dragon Babies and, as their mother, I’ve had the privilege of watching them grow, discovering their personalities, seeing them choose their own paths and getting to experience the energies they choose to bring here at this time.
They’re part of my dragon family, and they’re incredibly curious about the world around them. They want to explore. To play. To interact. To meet people and share their energy in ways that are uniquely their own.
And these little dragons, just like the adults, have taught me that when they set their minds to something, they are a force to be reckoned with.
What the kiddos want, the kiddos get - A card deck it is
The funny thing is, I never actually set out to create the Dragon Cards.
I was already deep into creating Inner Compass Oracle when my dragons steered me towards developing a workshop where people could specifically explore and experience dragon energy for themselves. However, the adult dragon energies felt like they might be a bit too overwhelming and intimidating for people. That’s when my Dragon Babies came to mind. Their cuteness factor is off the charts, making people feel more relaxed and less intimidated by their energies. It seemed perfect for the workshop.
The thought of using their images had not even fully crossed my mind before they collectively descended upon me, making themselves very clear:
“Mum, we want our own oracle deck.”
I had no time to create another deck, so I tried the “Yeah, but…” route. Tough luck for me. It became very clear there are no yeah-buts when all my little dragons have collectively made up their minds.
I figured there was no use in fighting them, so I set to work. Luckily, I’d already created most of the images and I had a card template. Most of my kiddos had also already given me their chosen names. All that was left was to sit with each of them and feel into the primary energy they wanted to bring to the deck.
And just like that, while I was neck-deep in creating something else entirely, the Dragon Cards were born.
COME PLAY WITH THE DRAGONS
The Dragon Cards bring together 20 of my Dragon Babies, each carrying their own signature energy. Every card features one of my kiddos, their chosen name and the energy they wanted to bring to the deck.
The cards invite you to connect directly with the dragon you meet. Feel into their energy. Notice how they show up for you. Get curious. Ask questions. Play together. Explore where they take you and what they might have to share with you today.
The Dragon Cards were originally created for The Dragon Playground, where this way of exploring is at the heart of the workshop. That playful curiosity still lives within every card. Pick a card. Meet a dragon. And go explore together.
WHERE WILL YOUR DRAGON TAKE YOU?
The name and signature energy on each card give you a place to begin. From there, you and your dragon get to explore.
Sit with their image and notice what catches your attention. Feel into their energy and how it shows up in your body. Ask them questions. Invite them into meditation. Journal with them. Take them along for the day. Or close your eyes, meet them in your inner world and see where they take you.
You might receive a message, an image, a feeling or a completely unexpected adventure. You might discover something about the dragon in front of you, about their energy or about yourself.
It was made clear to me from the beginning that these cards didn’t need a guidebook. Their name and signature energy give you the starting point. The rest is yours and your dragon’s to explore together.
Be present. Be curious. Play. And see what happens.
